Marietta Self-Storage Facility

Sitework Delivered on One Schedule

Summit Construction & Development was brought on by the county public works department to deliver the sitework package for the Marietta Self-Storage Facility in DeKalb County. The site presented buried debris from a prior structure on the north end. We phased the work to keep the schedule moving, self-performing grading, asphalt, concrete so the job stayed on one schedule with one point of accountability. The project was completed on schedule, turning the site over ready for vertical construction.

Scope of work
  • Placed 55,000 SF of sidewalk and dumpster pads
  • Milled and resurfaced 34,000 SF of existing pavement
  • Paved and striped a 120-space parking lot
  • Proof-rolled and certified all building pads
  • Formed and poured 61,000 SF of heavy-duty truck apron
  • Undercut and replaced 20,500 CY of unsuitable subgrade material
  • Completed with full OSHA compliance and zero recordables
