Hamilton Mill Retail Center

Summit Construction & Development was brought on by a regional general contractor to deliver the sitework package for the Hamilton Mill Retail Center in DeKalb County. The site presented limited site access with a single point of entry. We balanced material on site to avoid export costs, self-performing grading, asphalt, clearing so the job stayed on one schedule with one point of accountability. The project was completed on schedule, turning the site over complete with final stabilization and landscaping.

Scope of work
  • Cut and shaped 20 acres to finished subgrade tolerance
  • Staked limits of disturbance and protected specimen trees
  • Balanced 58,500 CY of cut and fill to building-pad elevation
  • Milled and resurfaced 29,500 SF of existing pavement
  • Completed with full OSHA compliance and zero recordables
  • Cleared and grubbed 10 acres with erosion control in from day one
  • Placed 2,000 tons of asphalt across the drive aisles and loading area
